Small Business Ownership and Management

(For 2018-19) This course is designed to teach students to perform marketing and management functions and tasks associated with owning and operating a small business. Students will learn beginning business finance, marketing and management. During the semester, they will develop a business plan and a budget, understand the role of government in a free enterprise economy and study successful businesses and identify characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. The goal of the class will be to equip each student with the knowledge, hands on experience to launch their own business and to identify their God-given talents that may be used in the small business sector. Who knows, maybe they'll earn enough money to pay you back for this class!

  • When: Thursday, 5th Period, 1:45 to 3:05 pm
  • Cost: 1 Semester $180 plus $20 HERC Class Fee
