Biology Lab for Exploring Creation with Biology 2nd Edition

Grade: 9-12 Carol Ashbrook teaches this course. Students will explore and learn in a group setting while they discover the concepts taught in the text. Video selections will be used as needed for further understanding. It will be a full year course which consists of lab experiments, demonstrations, and discussion to complement the Apologia Biology text. The lab experiments will include text labs along with substituted and/or supplemental labs to explain concepts in the text. The class covers the lab portion of Biology, and students will need to complete the module work (“On Your Own” questions and Study Guide questions) and tests at home, apart from this lab, to complete a full year of Biology credit. Required: Apologia Exploring Creation with Biology, 2nd Edition, by Dr. Jay L. Wile AND Exploring Creation with Biology 2nd Edition Student Notebook Recommended: Solutions and Test manual that is for at home use.   The materials fee is non-refundable and paid at the June registration date along with the HERC fee=$90

Worship Team

The student led team will lead the HERC community in prayer and praise at the worship rallies held on the first Thursday of every month. The last Thursday of the month prior to the rally, the worship team will meet for practice. Trained musicians and singers are needed (no lessons are given during this time). All worship team members are encouraged to attend every worship rally whether leading, assisting with tech, or participating in the congregation.  Make new friends, use your God-given talents, and bless others as we worship our Lord in prayer and praise together. 

  • When: Last Thursday of the month 3:10-4:30 & 1st Thurs worship rally between 3rd&4th period
  • Cost: $25
  • Minimum Number of Students: 3 minimum
  • Prerequisite: Prior instrument training and ability to play and/or sing in a group setting. Must be able to read and play chord charts.
